...working hard to find a job.
Times are tough out here for teachers!
The budget is so poor that districts had to cut all teahers that were hired in the past two years (i.e. not hiring new teachers).
That's all that needs to be said about that :)
Most districts aren't even accepting subs.
So with that said, it is really exciting that I have set up 3 sub jobs in private schools out here and have applied into job pools for districts around a 30 mile radius.
I didn't want to write this post because maybe something would come up...maybe something still will...but with school starting soon...I'm ready to sub, take a few online courses, read, and start working on fun projects :)
So, for fun, here is some poetry that my students' wrote last year - Enjoy! -
(the last one always amazes me!)
So much depends upon
a pink worm
glazed with water
beside the black dirt
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm in bed and
I got the flu.
I wanna have fun
gest like my frindes but
I'm so sick I can't even
stand.
My mom wants to
cancell my b-day party
but she aint cancellin
nutin for me.
Big Things
The sky is blue
Land is green
The sea light blue
I wonder if
I could do
something too
Like be someone
who could do something too.
Eating a Poem
It's round and black
Shiney and smooth
It's rolling on my plate
It likes to move
I pick it up with my fork
or at least I try
It keeps rolling around
It's really sly
Finally, I get to my mouth
It's soft, greasy, smooth
juicy sweet
squishy, that'll do!
Doesn't take long to chew
Squeaky when rubbed against teeth
I like to eat them all the time
They really are neat!
Causes
The cause of life is love
and love the cause of life
life
the cause of death
love
the cause of death
Good luck on the job finding! You may need to choose a new profession!
